Rev. Karen Fraser Moore is a trained Intentional Interim and Transitional Pastor ordained by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 1983. She holds Qualified Ordained Ministerial Partner standing in the United Church of Christ. She has been in professional ministry since 1977 and has served in a variety of positions (including Senior Pastor, Co-Pastor, Associate Pastor, Educational Associate, Children’s Pastor, Minister of Spiritual Discernment, and Transitional Director of Children and Youth Ministries) in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, and Ohio.
Karen and her spouse (The Rev. Paul S. Fraser) recently served as Co-Pastors of Trinity United Church of Christ in McCutchenville OH, and of Sycamore United Church of Christ in Sycamore OH. She also facilitates an “Excellence in Ministry” group with other clergy to provide a means of encouragement, support and accountability for those who participate.
Karen is a Certified Christian Life Coach (through Coach Approach Ministries) and the Founder of “Prayer-Full Partnerships.” She coaches pastors and other leaders through organizational transitions. She is also employed as a coach by the Oklahoma Center for Non-Profits to coach Non-Profit Executives. Karen finds great satisfaction in assisting leaders who are seeking to move in new directions and achieve new goals.
Karen holds a BA in Counseling from Ottawa University, in Ottawa, KS and a Master of Divinity from St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, MO. She also holds a Paralegal Certificate from Missouri Western University in St. Joseph, MO.
Karen is a trained vocal musician and enjoys directing plays and skits. Between them, Karen and Paul have six children (ages 22 to 43) and nine grandchildren (ages 5 to 15).Karen is excited to begin serving in the Indiana-Kentucky Conference of the UCC.
