I was born and raised in northern Ohio, graduated from the University of Toledo and Lancaster Theological Seminary, and was ordained in the United Church of Christ in 1977. I have served churches in Michigan, Illinois, the St. Louis, MO area, and most recently Immanuel UCC in Mt. Vernon, IN. I retired from the ministry in 2019 after serving 42 years. I have been married to Linda Haines Turner for 47 years. We have three married children, two girls living in the St. Louis area, and a son living in Evansville. We are blessed with ten grandchildren.
