Sunday School Programs
We offer a variety of Sunday school classes based on children's ages. Most classes meet on Sundays during the school year from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM.
Children's Sunday School
Our children's and Youth Sunday school programs at Bethlehem Church are made possible because of the large number of talented and committed volunteers who share in the responsibility of nurturing the faith formation of our children.
Nursery: Nursery care is provided for infants through and babies during the Sunday School hour. You will consistently find Randi Wink-Bowman lovingly care for our littlest ones of the bunch. Each week, Randi will have an assistant to help her with this crew.
Nursery Care is also offered during the 10:15 worship service.
Toddlers (ages 18 months - 3 years): Little ones who are mobile and ready to begin a more structured environment, but not quite ready for preschool level can engage in our toddlers' class, led by Alex Hoffman and assisted by Linda Luker and Michelle Oglesby. They are enthusiastic about using their gifts to enrich the spiritual growth of our toddler group.
Pre-K/Kindergarten (ages 4-Kindergarten): We are four-and five-year-olds working for Jesus! We have fun learning about Jesus, playing, and making crafts. We invite you to come and join us, share our fun, and make new friends. This class is taught by Alex Hoffman & Judy Kattmann.
1st - 3rd Graders: The curriculum in this class (Grow, Proclaim, Serve!) is designed for children at this age level, and makes learning about God's word fun and exciting! It incorporates Bible stories, activities, crafts, videos, and games into a full faith experience for children. Children will develop the skills to unlock the Bible's message and grow their faith by leaps and bounds. Colorful, engaging, theologically sound materials invite children to explore the Bible in fun, age-appropriate ways, capturing their attention and ensuring that God’s message is taken to heart. Children will discover that their faith can grow right along with them! This class is taught by Paula Courtney and Jackie Kuhn.

Youth Sunday School
6-7th Graders (Confirmands) Once every other year, the church holds a Confirmation program which takes place during the school year. Pastor Emily leads this group weekly with a monthly gathering with their individual mentors. When not in Confirmation time, this group is taught by Margaret Eberhart.
High Class (grades 8-12): The Middle and Senior High school groups meet in the Youth Room on Sunday mornings for a contemporary approach to spiritual development. We use a curriculum called "Spice Rack," which takes "a little bit of this and a little bit of that" from the Bible and relates it to current topics that teens face in today's world. We sometimes incorporate games, music, and video clips into our lessons. It's fun and entertaining but promotes discussion that is relevant to this age group. We invite you to join us for a relaxed way to explore your faith! This class is taught by Niki Traylor and Mike Slade.
